The Premier League season has finally arrived, and begins with a clash between Liverpool and Stoke City at Anfield. Mark Hughes will be hoping to cause an upset in his first competitive match at the Potters helm, whilst the Reds will turn to Daniel Sturridge in the potential absence of Luis Suarez. Aston Villa’s trip to Arsenal is the pick of the three o’clock kick-offs, whilst Cardiff open their top flight campaign with a trip to West Ham. Norwich host Everton, Fulham travel to Sunderland and West Brom meet Southampton in the other 3pm kick-offs, before champions Manchester United travel to Swansea in the late kick-off. David Moyes will be looking to make his mark immediately for the Red Devils, although Michael Laudrup runs a tight ship at the Liberty Stadium. On Sunday, the two other promoted teams face a baptism of fire against Champions League contenders, with Crystal Palace hosting Spurs and Hull City traveling to Chelsea. The weekend’s action concludes on Monday night, when highly-fancied Manchester City host Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium.
