The Protea Hotel OR Tambo visited a settlement just outside of Pretoria to hand out a brand new wheelchair to one of the elderly in the camp and also spoiling the kids with some goody bags and food. A 175 homeless people, among them 46 kids of various ages. A big thank you to Ronel Joubert and her TEAM from the Angel Help Foundation in Pretoria for the huge support they give to the homeless in this camp. I have a new found respect for the comfort I am privileged to live in and me and my familys daily blessings! What struck me the most was that amongst all of this hardship in the camp hope is never lost. In the center of the camp they built a church which stands as a pillar of hope and believe of a better future for themselves and their children. When driving home form the camp I could not help but realize how lucky I am. Thank you Andre van Zijl for involving us in this project and for the great humanitarian work you do all over the country!
