The RECENT events in CANADA have caused many NON-MUSLIMS to attack Muslims on an intellectual level - to say things like: Your book says to kill people and to rape women and to marry children. These people are digging deep into our books and our history and due to the fact that Muslims are not prepared to handle such questions, some are boiling with doubts. Muslims have for long shun such accusations. We need to be strong and stand up and defend our faith on an intellectual level when we are presented with such challenges. We have been working in this field for 10 years and many times people told me that what I do is not good and we should not discuss these issues. Some of those same people came later back and said that my son or my friend or my daughter are on the verge of leaving Islam because of doubts. The words thing one can have is a doubt in their heart. A doubt will paralyse you and make you miserable. A certainty will give you faith and strength no RED BULL or work out or other stimuli would ever be able to. We have created a course that deals exactly with these issues and how to handle them. We have proposed this course to organisations and people who work in dawa and imams, but for some reason people thing they dont need it, only to be later stumbled by such questions - yes even if they have knowledge. I remember very well sitting with our of the lead speakers in the WEST (English speaker) and asking him a question - He is not only a speaker he is a scholar and no one would contest that as his qualifications are clear. When I asked him the question as we were working at that time on writing a response for that topic, he had no clue what we were talking about. It happened with other imams and duaat. Just because someone studied does not mean they dealt with the problems that non Muslim bring forth. We need to know that for each science there have to be certain specialists, and that they have to unite and create a council that meets on a regular basis to discuss not only if THIS IS HALAL OR HARRAM, mortgage, genetics etc, but also HOW TO STOP OUR CHILDREN FROM FALLING INTO DOUBTS AND EXITING ISLAM. How to give them a solid baggage of information to be able to stand up to accusations and defend Allah and His messenger.
