The Real Truth about Wes Adams for States Attorney The negative - TopicsExpress

The Real Truth about Wes Adams for States Attorney The negative rhetoric in politics is in deed disappointing. Its hard enough for the people to grasp the issues when presented in a truthful manner; however, when politicians seek to obfuscate the facts in order to cloud the issues and mislead the people, we all lose. Wes Adams opponent has adopted the reckless and misleading allegations at shamonwesadams are purportedly the product of an attorney, who has not apparently practiced in a criminal case a Prince Georges County since 2005 and obviously has an ax to grind with Mr. Adams. However, this is the truth: The concerning the allegation related to the foreclosure on his fathers Cambridge home and payment of property taxes. First, it is ridiculous to believe that the county did not receive the property taxes plus interest on the property. I assure you, county government will always collect its property taxes, and did as a result of the sale the property. Wes was added to the deed by his father, as co-owner of the property. Wes, just like anyone else, did not have to consent, agree, or even be aware that his name was added to the deed by his father, who wanted to pass along his most valuable asset to his son at the time of his death. As a co-owner in the property, Wes interest was subservient to the bank, according to the deed of trust, which Wes was not a party. This is evident from the attached letter from the foreclosure attorney. Moreover, from the attached foreclosure affidavit and accounting, the responsible party for the taxes and all other expenses running with the property was the borrower. In the banks affidavit, the borrower is identified solely as Mr. Adams father, which is corroborated by the foreclosure attorneys letter. Mr. Adams was never a responsible party. The taxes have a superior lien on the property to the bank, and therefore would be paid from the proceeds of the foreclosure sale every time. Therefore, since Mr. Adams surrendered his interest in the property, receiving nothing, the taxes were paid from the sale. This is just the way the world works. Concerning the allegation regarding Wes allegedly avoiding private process of the summons in the foreclosure case, let us consider the circumstances surrounding the encounter with his family at his front door. Mr. Adams has spent his career prosecuting the worst murderers, rapists and others in Maryland. Having a strange person show up at the front door unannounced may cause some alarm. As a police officer, I always told my children that if they were approached by a stranger asking about their father, their best defense was anonymity. My children would say, I dont know what youre talking about. My daddy is a trash man. The truth is… really bad people do really bad things. The good guys must take measures to protect themselves, their family and those they care about. Once Wes was made aware of the foreclosure proceeding, he was in contact with the foreclosure attorney making arrangements to streamline the process, even offering to surrender his interest by way of a quit claim deed. (Hence the reason why the foreclosure attorney was willing to provide the attached letter.) My friends, law enforcement is a very difficult job. Doing your job means that sometimes people will complain. If people are complaining, youre probably doing a good job as a law enforcement officer. I have addressed these other allegations in other blogs; however, I would like to close with one thought. Wes opponent has done us all a great service, she is just confirmed that over the course of Wes entire life, this is the best negative stuff she could find. Thank you. Vote Wes Adams
