The Resurrection of the Word When we hear the word - TopicsExpress

The Resurrection of the Word When we hear the word “Resurrection our mines quickly race to thoughts about rising up from being dead, came out the grave, brought back to life and so on. That is exactly what happened when Jesus Christ was crucified and laid in barrowed tomb for three days. John chapter one and verse one says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. We know from the first two chapters of Genesis God spoke things into existence, everything that was created was created by the Words of God. He spoke and the power of His words caused things to have life and to function according to their purpose. John 1:14 Says that the Word became flesh and dwell among us… The Word in human form called Jesus Christ. One application of thought could be that when Jesus was resurrected, “The Word” was resurrected. In the Epistles, the book of Hebrews, chapter 4 verse 12 says: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, This statement can be translated to mean, the Word can make things alive. Jesus said this: If you abide in me, and my “WORDS” abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. In closing: Any area of your life that is dead, dormant, or lacks mobility, the Word of God has the power to cause life again. A good healthy diet of the Word of God, and believing His promises of what He said He would do, will produce positive results or life. “The Word of God has Resurrection Power”! The heavens and the earth will pass away but God’s Word will always remain alive. Amen
