The Scriptures never anticipated a scenario where our impressions will be prior and scripture will be subsequent. The pattern is for all humans to live their lives OUT OF the scriptures and not to read their lives INTO the Scriptures. You will NEVER properly apply what you IMPROPERLY interpret Let us therefore move away from our superstitions that seek to pass off every fancy our hearts as a word from the Lord and immerse ourselves in the Scriptures, trusting the Holy Spirit to enlighten the eyes of our understanding that we may know all that God has freely given us and has revealed to us. This BOOK OF THE LAW shall not depart from your mouth, but YOU SHALL MEDITATE on it day and night, so that YOU MAY BE CAREFUL TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. - Joshua 1:8 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! BUT HIS DELIGHT IS IN THE LAW OF THE LORD, AND IN HIS LAW HE MEDITATES DAY AND NIGHT. - Psalm 1:1-2 I will INSTRUCT YOU AND TEACH YOU in the way which you should go; I WILL COUNSEL YOU with My eye upon you. Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have NO UNDERSTANDING, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you.-Psalm 32:8-9 How can a young man KEEP HIS WAY PURE? BY KEEPING IT ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD. With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from YOUR COMMANDMENTS. YOUR WORD I have treasured in my heart, That I may NOT SIN AGAINST YOU. - Psalm 119: 9-11 You, however, continue in the things YOU HAVE LEARNED AND BECOME CONVINCED OF, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you HAVE KNOWN THE SACRED WRITINGS which ARE ABLE TO GIVE YOU THE WISDOM THAT LEADS TO SALVATION through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY GOD and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK. - 2Timothy 3:14-17
