The Sectoral Manpower Development Plan (SMDP) for the Biologics Manufacturing Industry was unveiled this morning at Novartis Singapore Pharmaceuticals. The SMDP is a forward-looking and holistic five-year plan with three main priority areas – meeting the high demand for skilled manpower, improving the relevance of training programmes and talent attraction and retention. WDA, the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Advisory Council (BMAC) and industry players have pledged to work closely together to implement the SMDP for the Biologics Manufacturing industry, to build and value skills in the sector.
