The Senators ANGARAs and the destruction of the Philippine Educational System and Filipino values... Shared thru: Madam Elena Salvador (2014 Jun 26 Thurs, 8:37am) Yesterday at 8:37am This needs review. ; and FbDg: ANTI GRAFT AND CORRUPTION IN THE PHILIPPINES! Px. After 50 years in Leadership in the Government and the Educational System in U.P. especially for Senator Edgardo J. Angara strongly sponsoring the CHEd Law as its main author, ngayon lang nila nalaman yang outdated taxation system. The Angara CHEd Law on the high schools or community colleges supposedly converted and promoted into SUCs, closed almost all elementary schools, and high schools including the mother schools of these converted SUCs that abolished almost all trade schools, vocational schools, agricultural schools, etc., that today we do not have enough young (high school age) skilled workers, and no more replacement farmers. Those surviving high schools in very few SUCs are actually financed and operated by Parents and Teachers Associations and now deprived of Government free textbook programs, etc. And what the ANGARAs are somewhat successfully showing the Filipinos are that they are pioneering and visionaries when in fact they have destroyed not only the Philippine Educational System but also the better Filipino values and Filipinos having no more choice but half-baked skills trainings with TESDA, and to-late skills trainings with the K to 12 imposed and rushed curriculum at grades 11 and 12 but to be unfortunate OFWs; etc. The ANGARAs could save their names if they can bring back to every province and city the trade schools, vocational schools, agricultural schools, etc. for elementary and high school levels in addition to the regular and existing schools in these places. These kind of schools will give more dignity to every Filipino elementary and high school graduates rather than at TESDA and half-baked and too late skills trainings at grades 11 and 12. The ANGARAs could even save better names to themselves and initiate some recovery to the Philippine Educational System and Filipino values and dignity if they can successfully have implemented the localization (in every province and in every city) the curriculum making even just for the basic education and some basic college courses to meet the local needs and productivity of every community; rather than the present system of highly nationalized, centralized, imposed, and rushed programs or courses. Also, the ANGARAs could leave behind better names for themselves, if they could leave the leadership of SUCs to local leaders in the Board of Regents rather than continue today with the great imposibility of excellence, having the same and only one CHEd Chair as the same Chair of over 100 SUCs nationwide and practically have the same influential Senators, Representatives, and Congressmen and Congressmen as members of these BoR of over 100 SUCs nationwide.
