The September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on our consulate in Benghazi have hung over our nation like a dark cloud. The loss of four American lives shocked the public and sparked outrage, fear, disbelief and heartache. This week, I voted with the House to move forward with a select committee to investigate the attack at Benghazi. I know my friend, Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, will be a fair yet tough leader as he searches for answers for the grief-stricken family members of these four fallen Americans.
