The Shoalhaven has officially been declared a disaster area following last month’s severe storms and flooding. Disaster assistance has been made available for the Shoalhaven, Goulburn-Mulwaree and Palerng municipalities. “This disaster assistance includes a number of arrangements to help with the cost of storm relief and recovery,” said Attorney-General and Emergency Management Minister Mark Dreyfus. Disaster assistance for the area is available through the NSW disaster assistance arrangements and is jointly funded with the commonwealth government through the natural disaster relief and recovery arrangements.
