The Southampton and Botley Groups Invite you to Dine a Friend. On Tuesday 29th October 2013 a dine a friend event is being held at Brook House Botley to which Masons are invited to bring non Masonic male guests. The evening will provide an opportunity for our guests to gain an insight into what a Masonic evening is like, the temple will be used to host a short talk explaining what happens and why followed by some time at the bar to socialise prior to the meal which will be in the same format as a Festive Board. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master Jonathan Whittaker PSGD will host the evening assisted by the Botley and Southampton group representatives. This initiative is not just an opportunity for non Masons to gain an understanding of Freemasonry but for Brethren to place a prospective candidate with a Lodge if for one reason or another the Proposers own Lodge was unsuitable ............the aim of the evening after all is to attract prospective new members to the Craft. Brethren I very much hope you will support this event and it proves to be an effective format to give to others a taste of something we enjoy and feel proud to be a part of. Lounge suits with shirt and tie. Reception 1900 hrs for 1915 hrs start. Cost is £16.50 a head for a 3 course meal, cheese and coffee. Please make cheques payable to The Southampton Group of Lodges.
