The Spring Hill Board of Mayor and Aldermen is looking for residents to fill three open positions on the Spring Hill Library Board of Trustees. The three-year terms of board members Trent Jones, the current chairman, and Ross Stevenson, are expiring soon. About one year remains on the unexpired term of board member Charles Farmer, who has resigned his position since taking a new job. The seven-member board, which serves as the governing body over Spring Hill Public Library programs and facilities, meets every other month at the library. The board is appointed by the Spring Hill Board of Mayor and Aldermen, which will consider the three new appointments at its Sept. 8 work session and vote on the appointments at its Sept. 15 regular meeting. Board member applications are available at the library, 144 Kedron Parkway, or at City Hall, 199 Town Center Parkway. The application and a copy of the Bylaws of the Library Board of Trustees, listing the board’s mission and duties of its members, also are available on the City’s website: springhilltn.org. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Spring Hill City Hall.
