The Stanford Equestrian team is looking forward to tryouts at the Stanford Red Barn tomorrow! To current Stanford students who want to tryout: we will hold three hour-long time tryout sessions based on your experience level. Please read the descriptions below and RVSP to [email protected] with your preferred discipline (hunt seat, dressage, Western), the section time that you will attend, and send any questions! 11am-12pm: Experienced riders who have received formal training and can walk, trot/jog, and canter/lope with confidence. Riders in this group should have experience either showing at competitions, jumping, doing dressage tests, and/or doing reining patterns. 12pm-1pm: Novice riders who can walk and trot/jog with confidence and may or may not canter/lope comfortably. Riders who are confident on horseback but have not received formal training should come at this time. 1pm-2pm: Beginner riders who have only ridden a handful of times or never ridden before.
