The State wants you to stay married. Why? It’s an economic thing. The State created the “Oklahoma Marriage Initiative” - wanting to cut divorce rate by 1/3. Since established, the rates of divorce, unmarried cohabitation and single parent families have increased. It is not a total failure; $70M did make it to some people. Oklahoma Watch report - Public Strategies (a staff of 150 and runs various relationship projects) got more than 90%. WOW! People said: “The people were fun”; “I think every person who has a family should go to these retreats.” Meanwhile, U. S.
