The Story of STELLA GEORGE: who encounter the LOVE of GOD at young age. On October 28, 2006, we met Stella George at a Holy Land fund raising dinner in Toronto, Canada. She was 98 years old and was born in British Guyana on July 5, 1908. She told us about God’s loving watchfulness in her life which we are all blessed with, if we trust HIM and believe in HIM. When Stella was nearly 5 years old, she was called to the bedside of her dying mother. Her mother held her wrist and said to her, “Stella, I am putting your hand in the hands of Jesus and Mary, never let go of them, I’m going away. I cannot do anything for you anymore.” Stella actually felt somebody took her right hand but she didn’t see anybody. And then, her dying mother turned to her father saying, “See that she keeps it there.” After, she died of childbirth (and also the baby in her womb). Her father took good care of her and was very good and kind. He was both a father and a mother to her. Her time with him was very happy. She always prayed to GOD not to take her father. When Stella was 11 years old, her father died. For three months, she was inconsolable and constantly crying, disappointed with God for not answering her prayers. One day, as she was crying, a nun from her school asked her, “Stella, when are you going to stop crying?” Her answer was, “Never.” The nun then asked, “Why?” Stella answered, “GOD is not fair to me. GOD could have left me my father, but He took him too. And yet my classmates have both their parents. Why didn’t HE take one of their parents and leave me one at least?” The nun replied, “Please go to the chapel where Jesus is exposed at the tabernacle and tell Jesus what you told me.” Stella still crying and a bit hesitant followed the nun’s order. She went into the chapel full of tears and despair. Kneeling before Jesus at the tabernacle, she told Him, “Mother Xavier sent me to tell YOU that I said that YOU are not fair because I had only one parent, and I prayed that YOU wouldn’t take my father. Everybody else has two and YOU didn’t take one of theirs but YOU took the only one I had.” In her vision, she saw Jesus’ face with sweet loving eyes saying in a very clear gentle manner these words: “I have given you my own FATHER, I have given you my own MOTHER, I am always here for you, Is that not enough?” Stella felt instant relief with peace, shame and joy at the same time. And she replied to Jesus “Thank you Jesus. Please forgive me. I’ll stop crying now.” At this, she changed from a crying girl into one full of hope and joy. While grinning as she walked out towards the door; there, the nun was waiting. The nun was wondering why Stella was grinning this time, while before that, she was in tears of sorrow. The nun asked her what happened and Stella told her what Jesus had said. The nun then told Stella, “It must have been Jesus who told me to send you into the chapel”. Jesus called Stella back to heaven on May 30, 2013, at nearly 105 years old. Her funeral was celebrated at The Epiphany of Our Lord Parish in Toronto, Canada, and interred at St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux grounds, corner of Finch and Warden Av. ~Don’t greave for me now, I am free to follow the path God made for me. If my parting has left a void, fill it with remembered joy. Lift up your hearts and rejoice for me. God wanted me now. He set me free~
