The Supreme Court has issued three rulings today: ABC vs. Aereo: 6-3 to reverse the 2nd Circuit --- Aereos service is illegal. It is equivalent to being a cable company, not just a equipment provider. They fall within the meaning of the transit clause of the Copyright Act. Riley vs. California: 9-0 to reverse CA appellate Court ----Regarding cell phone privacy: Police may not search digital info on the cell of a person arrested without a warrant Fifth Third v. Dudenhoffer: 9-0 to remand and vacate 6th Circuit --- Fiduciaries of an employee stock option plan are not entitled to any presumption of prudence in the investment decisions made by the plan administrator. - FOUR rulings are left, and the court will issue rulings TOMORROW and one other day (probably Monday). Those that are left are National Labor Board, Hobby Lobby, clinic buffer zones and one other. You can probably bet that Hobby Lobby and buffer zones will be on the last day, considering the controversial nature of the subjects. live.scotusblog/Event/Live_Blog_of_opinions__June_25_2014#sthash.K4K58cRD.dpuf
