The TTD’s new initiative to provide Seeghra darshan tickets online is aimed at cutting down on the pilgrims waiting time inside the queue complexes, is all set to be introduced from the next Tuesday. In its maiden venture, to ease the pilgrim congestion in queue lines, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had recently announced online booking of Seegra darshan tickets. From the coming Tuesday, the TTD would be releasing atleast 10,000 darshan tickets for booking to the pilgrims through internet and e-darshan counters in the country run by the TTD. In the first phase, `300 seegra darshan tickets will be released both through internet and e-darshan counters and later through India Post. The darshan slots alloted for the pilgrims enables them to have darshan of the Lord after eight days. In other terms, the TTD will release the tickets on July 15, for darshan slot on July 23. Like wise on July 16, a devotee can book ticket for July 24. The TTD is going to start this service with the help of its EDP wing. Officials said the tickets of a particular day would be on sale for six days and if any ticket is not booked through internet or TTD e-darshan counters, on the sixth day night the sale of tickets will automatically be stopped and would be transferred to the current booking. TTD Joint executive officer (Tirumala) KS Sreenivasa Raju, the man behind the initiative, is monitoring the process.
