The Torah’s commandments are numerous and diverse. They span all areas of life and encompass all experiences. In every situation and in every stage of life we encounter Torah commandments which guide and direct us. Torah, as its name suggests, is an instruction for the path of life. It teaches the course and the action which a person should take at every moment. The Torah instructs every Jew from the moment he enters the yoke of mitsvot until his very last day on earth. The Torah teaches the proper behavior in the private domain of every Jew, and it even includes the commandments that relate to the Holy Temple and the Tabernacle. The Torah sets forth commandments and prohibitions which are applicable to Shabbat and Holydays, and on the other hand, many laws which apply to weekdays.
