The UK House of Commons Library has tried to calculate the percentage of secondary legislation in Britain that results from EU requirements and concluded that "this figure has fluctuated between 8 and 10 per cent in the last decade". Euroskeptics an especially UKIP are fond of repeating outright lies about Europe and Britiains cost and role within it. In this way UKIP closely models itself on the American Tea Party movement. It is not a 3rd choice for Britain, it is a danger to British democracy.
