The Vice-Chancellor, Allama Iqbal Open University, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi has set-up a 6-member committee to put-up suggestions and recommendations for provision of unconventional energy i.e. solar energy etc to the residents of AIOU colony and to boost the Security arrangements in the premises both at the campus and its colony. The Committee will work under the Chairmanship of a Senior Professor, Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas. Other members of the committee includes Director ICT, Muhammad Asif, Executive Engineer, Sharif-ullah, Deputy Registrar (Security) Maj.( R ) Shahid, Security Supervisor, Tariq Mehmood and Nadeem Ahmed, Electrical Engineer. The Vice-Chancellor instructed the committee to put-up their suggestions and recommendations within ten days. He also advised the committee to find-out the ways and means for the installation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at the University’s campus and its colony to enhance the prevailing security arrangements. The University, he said always tries to provide an accommodative environment for the students and its employees.
