The WILHELM REICH DOCUMENTARY FILM PROJECT is moving forward now - TopicsExpress

The WILHELM REICH DOCUMENTARY FILM PROJECT is moving forward now that the film budget is in place from the 31-day Kickstarter fundraising campaign which raised $187,002 (see link below). Last Thursday (December 4th) at Harvard Medical Schools Countway Library of Medicine--where Reichs archives are located--plans were confirmed to scan and digitize archival materials for the film: all photographs, select pages from Reichs diaries and laboratory notebooks, and excerpts from miscellaneous documents and correspondence. On Friday (December 5th) at a meeting in Rocky Hill, Connecticut with Motion, Inc., the production company for this film, preliminary plans were made for a shooting schedule and for the creation of a comprehensive visual database for this film: photographs, archival materials, historic newsreels, etc. And on Saturday (December 6th) in Philadephia, the Documentary Film Group convened in Philadelphia to debrief after our successful Kickstarter campaign. We were joined by Morton Herskowitz, D.O., the last surviving physician to have trained with Reich and one of the films staunch supporters. At this time, plans were confirmed to interview Dr. Herskowitz on camera for this documentary which will mark the first actual filming for this project. Were looking to schedule this on-camera interview for early January 2015. And later this month, during a personal holiday trip to Phoenix, Arizona, a side trip will be made to the Tucson area to scout locations for filming in March 2015 in the Oracle Junction-Magee Road-Catalina Mountain area where Wilhelm Reich lived and worked from October 1954 to April 1955. https://kickstarter/projects/25874147/wilhelm-reich-documentary-film-project
