The WRATH of a SCORNED WOMAN, YOLANDA For two days now, my life - TopicsExpress

The WRATH of a SCORNED WOMAN, YOLANDA For two days now, my life is back to its original state -- ACTION-FILLED, MIND-BOGGLING, SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, FOODLESS STOMACH with SPEED. But this time, it is caused by a new friend Yolanda. I have yet to be stationed to Zamboanga for a month, and here is another emergency... Indeed, THERE IS MORE FUN in the PHILIPPINES! Shouldnt the Philippine Tourism change its tag line already? As I headed back to the hotel last night, I am reminded of the rains during Sendong in CDO, and all that happened during that dark and scary evening including the cry for help from friends and colleagues while ensuring that my 3 angels will not only be safe in the dark room where we are located but also hoping that I am not frightening them with all the phone calls I am doing in trying to rescue whatever and whoever is possible. Afraid of what images will wake me up, not to mention the need to communicate with colleagues located in different areas with some extreme time difference, my Friday night has become SLEEPLESS NIGHT. After Fajr, I realized my eyes are not watching the news about Yolanda but the Rugby NZ-JAPAN match. Probably, just wanting to have a break... Hoping the team will be able to fly to Tacloban today and kick-off the needed emergency response. It was a gigantic role knowing that WFP is the cluster-lead among humanitarian agencies on communications, logistics and food security. Tall order. One of my colleagues commented on how he is awed by the resilience of the Filipinos, the way they are able to smile despite all the challenges in life. I shared my classmates joke about PABLO and SENDONG and what could be YOLANDAs purpose of coming. I told him Yolanda is a wife looking for her husband Pablo, who was brought by Sendong somewhere else. I even used Nor Salems words, Myls Magondacan and Ess Jay Emir Dee version of Yolandas... Indeed, it was an ice-breaker for a stressed team. HAHAHAHA... At times of challenges and worst moments, you just have to find for a spot of LIGHT and HOPE...and a moment to SMILE. InshaAllah, THIS WILL BE OVER..SOON! Diba Owie Marmar Maulana and Cocoy Goldie Ringia?
