The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra, entering its 67th season, will hold open auditions on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Eastmont Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Kentucky in East Wenatchee. The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra, a volunteer-based orchestra, welcomes musicians who would like to be considered to fill vacant positions in the orchestra or play as substitute musicians when temporary vacancies occur. The symphony currently has openings in the following sections: violin, viola, cello, bass, horn, trombone, harp and percussion. Musicians should prepare two excerpts, one fast (technical) and one slow (lyrical). An accompanist is not necessary. Auditions will take no longer than 10 minutes. Alternate audition times may be scheduled for string and substitute musicians. To schedule an audition, call the symphony at 509.667.2640 or email [email protected].
