The Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador has put out a call for photos of pre-1990 Gander River/Bay Boats; contact info. below. ...It is easy to see the descent from a native canoe in the shape and construction, though the [Gander] riverboat was built in a more rugged fashion.
