The Word Works Wonders “Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Luke 5:4 Peter was a professional fisherman. He was the master of the trade, not an apprentice; but when he got to his whit’s end, Jesus stepped in and showed him that He is the Master of all. Thank God for Peter, he knew better than to limit God. When Jesus said, “cast your nets on the right side of the ship, though he couldn’t explain it, he chose to obey. He said, “nevertheless, at thy word” (Luke 5:5b). Don’t limit God. We have come to an era where you have to take the limits off God. Professionally speaking, fishes should not enter into the net in broad day light, because they can see the net and will avoid it (survival instincts); but because God has spoken, the fishes have no choice but to swim into the net, because the word of the Lord cannot return to Him void. Let me tell you whenever the word of God is spoken over your life, don’t doubt it. It will come to pass. The word of God has the capacity to put food on your table, clothes on your body, shelter over your head and indeed anything that you need. The word of God works wonders only if you can believe. You do not need to run from pillar to post; you don’t need anything outside the word of God. I dare you to put your total confidence in God today and experience His limitless power at work in your life. Many people have tried to help God; but God does not need your help. Remember: whatever the word of God cannot give you, you don’t need it and it does not exist. The word works. I challenge you today to take a hold on the word of God and follow Him closely and you will see Him at work in your life. Your situation will bow to the word of God. Stop and search out what the word has to say concerning that situation: read it, receive it, and keep confessing it and you will see the result in your life. There is POWER in the Word of God.
