The Wrestler was a friggin awesome movie. I liked it for several reasons, including the fact that Rourkes character was hearing-impaired. He played it very realistically. Not sure how many folks know, but I am moderately to severely hearing impaired. I wear a hearing aid and should wear two, but one of them went through the washer and dryer by mistake. Im proud of a lot of things in my life, but perhaps none more so than overcoming my hearing loss to be, of all things, a reporter who relies on his hearing. LOL.
