The actual approach to anti-racism lies in ensuring a fair go for everyone, acknowledging and appreciating differences all in accordance of tolerance! Too many people are believing in this notion of superior identities and theres too many people that are hiding behind their respective ethnicities. An understanding behind how the various prejudices work must also be worked on because lets face it, since peoples views, and therefore ideas, are shaped by the very environments that they were brought up in so its inevitable that prejudices will arise and acknowledge the fact that people tend to be afraid of what they cant predict. Any reaction that arises out of prejudice is because of our innate need to defend ourselves. People must also understand why people shouldnt judge each other either and also understand that people will always have their preferences. I was bullied in high school because of some false notions that people had concerning my ethnic background and it came from some of my classmates and I got accused of being racist whenever I fought back! Accountability is everything in the long run which is all in accordance with mutual respect. An insight has to be gathered on which kinds of people are most likely to harbour those racist attitudes and understand that small-minded and narrow-minded people are to be found everywhere!
