The aftermath of my accident: my left ear stitched up (I can still feel the false skin behind it), my right arm in a cast. The fellow in the picture is my roommate at the hospital, a gentle, jovial cook nicknamed Ammo. And by the way ... thanks to those who drove me to the hospital from the accident and helped to save my life. They include some subset of this group of people: current Bally mayor David Schott, the late Mike Quigley, and Randy Mutter. Another BTW ... to my West Point friends Jay Floyd, Mark Pincoski, and Brent Weaver) ... recognize the glasses? Theyre my TEDs from the Point! Appropriately, the left arm had broken off, and since I couldnt put the arm over my stitched up left ear, it worked out nicely! It was about the only think that worked out nicely during this event ... and, for that matter, during most of the winter of 1983-1984 ...
