The afternoon started with the screening of The Cherokee Word for Water, then we all got to see the LaDonna Harris documentary Indian:101, followed by a panel discussion with Charlie Soap, LaDonna Harris, and Jerry Carlyle (Vice Chairman, San Xavier District of the Tohono Oodham Nation). Sally Ann Gonzales (Yaqui), a representative in the Arizona Legislature, served as the moderator. The panel discussion focused on Native leadership and engaging communities in working towards solving problems locally and inter-governmentally.
