The apathy of the general public is why animal cruelty exists. Ignorance is a disease of those who came to this country with the poor mans entertainment from fighting chickens to dogs in order to prove their level of superiority. State legislators are far too busy trying to get elected to realize that this abuse is going on right under their noses. They also choose to allow puppy mills to flourish under the guise that dogs are agriculture and refuse to pass legislation to the contrary. Thank God for the ASPCA who save so many lives. Michael VIck remains a disgrace to the human race. Worse, yet, the excuse of a human has children.
