The average price of regular gas in eight states is below $3.00 a gal. Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana are three of these states. Dont be elated over these lower prices because they wont last. The speculators on the New York Mercantile have driven up gas prices up 19 cents a gallon in the last four trading days and may continue to do so. This will tend to drive prices back up even though we have a glut of oil and gas in this country. Each time we have a drop in energy prices, the speculators start all the talk about Iran and the bomb....bla bla bla and prices take off for the ozone layer. \
