The bad: hit one of the biggest deer I have ever seen last night on the way home from the beach.....drug him under car until I could gain control, stop, and back up to get off of him. Get home, couldnt get out of car door and had to crawl out. Car pouring in smoke. Headed to go inside house to call police and back door was open. Will and I were terrified. Never felt so alone, stranded, and helpless. Couldnt go inside AND couldnt get in car to leave. The GOOD news: Will and I were amazingly not hurt (just really shaken up and upset). The sight of my damaged car today with blood all over it is sickening. The 2 Lee County Sheriff Dept officers were beyond fantastic.....they had to deal with my house AND car issue. They went beyond the call of duty protecting and comforting me and Will. Stayed with us until the Do Co Sheriffs Dept officer arrived and he was beyond fabulous as well. So incredibly thankful to be alive and well today. Now to deal with insurance fun!!!
