The battles people suffer amidst staggering poverty and sub-standard living conditions are laid bare near the end of this film when we deliver free tomatoes to Mama Rose who has been serving a community meal for the homeless nearly 20-years. This year its at 1110 Nord Avenue, Chico California, with the colossal weight upon 8, thats EIGHT, families given eviction notices that execute the day after Christmas. All of these families are living in squalor without power. Gabriel from a piece we posted yesterday often eats there as do many individuals suffering from disabilities and handicaps that are excruciatingly compounded by their living conditions. Im pleading with folks to assist Mama Rose at the number below and to lobby the Chico News and Review, who had a freelance writer on site yesterday, to do a full investigative story on the families of 1110 Nord.
