The best time to visit Bomdila is between March and October. Bomdila has an alpine climate and remains on the lower end of the temperature range pretty much throughout the year. The summer months coincide with the peak tourist season. The temperature stays within a comfortable range of 20-32ºC during that time, so it is the ideal time to visit Bomdila. The Losar Festival, the New Year festival of the Monpa tribe is celebrated in the end of February or early March. Do not miss the festivities while on your visit! This is peak season for Bomdila. June is the hottest month of the year, but even then the temperature does not rise above the mid thirties, so you can still travel without being bothered by the heat. The region receives rainfall throughout the year. The rainy season proper lasts from July to September however. Finally, If you are Snow / Frost crazy then u might like to visit during Mid - December to February. However these days Bomdila lacks snowfall due to certain reasons, but the Pass -Sela (Snow through out the year) at the height of 14000ft (approx) is not very far from Bomdila.
