The bible articulates that as soon as we die our spiritual state of being (soul) will leave our physical body and proceed to then forever exist with our creator. The bible says that as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. -Hebrews 9:27 & 28. Having child-like faith and standing on God promises grants us access to realms in God that can only be dreamed of by other people (un-believers). The scriptures below describe being absent from our physical bodies (physical death) means the were present with the Lord spiritually. (eternal life) -2Corinthians 5:6-9 6 - Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 - (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 - We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 - Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
