The boldness of the prophet Elijah always amazes me. Here was a man dressed in animal skins standing before the ruler of the land and declaring, As the Lord God (Yahweh Elohim) of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years but according to MY WORD. (1st Kings 17:1) You had better have your stuff together when you make a declaration like that! (if Elijah had NOT, he would have lost his head from two directions.... the King of Israel AND the Lord Almighty!) Elijahs identification with the will and purpose of his God was so complete that his name literally means, Elohim Yahweh)
