The bustle of the holidays makes the days off seem even more peaceful and quiet. The snow continues to fall, and the surrounding landscape calms me with its hushed opacity. Little finches chirp, a quail calls, a magpie looks even more beautiful against the contrasting white sky and dark fenceposts. We saw so many hawks while out snowshoeing today! Deer, elk and a red fox too. Tomorrow we are back in the shop and will count every single bottle, every tube of lip balm, every pound of coconut oil. Our animal friends will be turning over rocks, digging in snow, soaring closely over the landscape searching for food. The snow is supposed to continue to fall and the temperatures too - we will be gratefully cozy for this count. Our shop will be open normal hours, but we wont be shipping to our stores all week. We may close a little early on New Years Eve and are closed on New Years Day. 2015! How I look forward to the new year with all of you.
