The church has called a new pastor! If that new pastor were to purge the church membership list (dismissing members) as they do their missionary list, they would need to find another church to pastor real soon! Why is that “new pastors” feel the need to purge their missionary list? I could understand it if there were doctrinal error, morality issues, or unethical practices. However, to drop a missionary just because you do not know them or their board doesn’t make him or them unworthy or your continued partnership. Has the church been unable to know the will of God all these years of partnering with that missionary? If they have been out of the will of God for that long, I would be concerned about them calling me to be their pastor! I personally think it is disgraceful for a new pastor to come in and start dropping missionaries that the church has partnered with for years!
