The conflict against government is not the root of the issue we - TopicsExpress

The conflict against government is not the root of the issue we face as to the over arching difficulties of our age. Government is not the problem. We are social creatures, we must have organising principles to an amount and a degree. The concept of governance also happens to be its mechanism, in the concept of a democracy, that means whom ever puts the most pressure on the mechanism moves it. The problem isnt an empty mechanism that can flow in many directions- its the ideologies that flow through it and determine its course that we have to face. The mechanism isnt tired, and if it is, fatigue can be replaced with new pieces or alternative parts for the machine- were the ones who are tired. And we are exhausted by the very anger, caused by the impact our neglect. If were going to put pressure on the mechanism, even to idle it down to exchange some of its systems for thoroughly fresh options, then we have to sacrifice some of the things that have not yet been touched or diminished, which serve us personally, for what has been touched or diminished, or found wanting as a necessity. There will come a time when all value, not in the doings permitted themselves, but in being forced into an ideology of process alone, without choice, such as munificent labour participation, will not make up in wages for the loss of dignity at having no other meaning as a human person. The loss of dignity in doing something to be able to eat, stay warm, amuse, and cover yourself seasonally, instead of for the sake of the task. When so much of our significance is linked to the knowledge that what we do makes a difference, or to be put another way, does in some way effect our civilisation- it is right to object to such a civilisation that wont let you effect it- and refuses your consent to choose not to exercise such a right- the right to a sensible life of needfulness in identity- which is personally fundamental and belongs to everyone, never fully diminished and absent in anyone. It is right to object to a civilisation that destroys the environment and either severely degrades or brutalises those that do not conform, and which seeks to make you complicit in both these activities. Whether it is to crush the mechanism in the depths, or rise up like a wave and turn it, individuals drops must still become an ocean large enough to apply sufficient pressure to do either. And so were back to the initial, not a problem of government, but of organising ourselves by free association to seek a better model for civilisation. Collective human experience is civilisation or put another way, Collective human reality is civilisational. So we exist not in a forgone hopeless conclusion, a condemnation which reguires total destruction to escape, but a form of Civilisation, a civilisation- and there are plenty others which are only waiting for us to discover. This is a daunting task, and weve seen it go wrong almost every time before. The principle of old switches, or something entirely new will still depend for its ethical and practical function on the ideologies which flow through it, just as it does now.
