The continued implication that Ferguson is only about good guys and bad guys and not about race is grossly undermined by two facts identified in this article: 1) the fact that the Ethical Society of Police in St. Louis supported the Rams players gesture, stating: We think that their actions were commendable and that they should not be ridiculed, disciplined or punished for taking a stand on this very important issue which is of great concern around the world and especially in the community where these players work. And 2) that there exists an organization, the Ethical Society of Police of St. Louis (which describes itself as the primary voice of African-American police officers in St. Louis city and represents 220 black St. Louis police officers) separate and apart from the St. Louis Police Officers Association (who is demanding an apology from the Rams players) is astonishing. Is this because 220 black police officers arent welcomed or or because they dont feel their interests are heard that there would be need for another organization?
