The conundrum of an activist Until few hours ago, I was - TopicsExpress

The conundrum of an activist Until few hours ago, I was determined to join my antiwar war comrades to picket the Whitehouse and the congress, but after reading the various comments on my wall on this matter and doing my own evaluation, I have decided to skip this one. The reason is mainly premise on my fear that some pro Assad forces could easily misconstrue this protest as an endorsement of Assad’s vicious tyranny. I still abhor Obama’s attempt to drop bombs from afar on innocent Syrians in name of punishing Assad for crossing a “redline”. This whole saga all the more exposes the Obama administration’s hypocrisy, for I still cannot fathom the refusal to call the ouster of Morsi a Coup, the aftermath of which resulted in the slaughter of thousands of Egyptian with little or no action from the US. In as much as I would love to see Assad just like Jammeh have missiles up in their asses, I still believe that dropping a few scud missiles from a navy ship is not the answer. #nowarbutassadmustgo
