The danger with playing Russian roulette is that eventually the gun will go off. The frenzied push to acquire and gain possession of material things has decimated most of the natural resources that once existed in and on our planet earth leaving behind a barren wasteland of destruction and death in its wake. Humanity has exchanged what is natural for what is artificial and unnatural. Generation after generation for decades there has existed this general attitude of indifference toward anything real while there has been no shortage of hunger for fantasy and illusions. The populations living in more fortunate parts of this world have begun to abhor what is healthy as if it is diseased while craving what is diseased as if it is healthy. The sheer amount of misanthropy which exists in our ever-increasing interconnected society is astounding and as our world becomes more globally connected, the attitude of people becomes more detached and indifferent toward their fellow man. Hate has become love and love has become hate. Yes, eventually the gun will go off and when it does, if it is you at the other end of the barrel you have only yourself to blame for not doing more to prevent such a travesty from happening. Only learning to know more about life and understanding what more you learn will heal the destruction which we have already forcefully inflicted upon our beloved earth. --R.K.
