The day before the 18th Greater Mound City Open Benefit Tournament! Today will be a busy one and it is sprinkling... Hope it holds off so Miles, James, And Tyler can get the course ready. They have been working all week keeping up with mowing and trimming, but have had issues with broken equipment! Maybe if the season goes well they can buy a new mower! Anyway, this benefit is very vital to the financial support of the golf course! I personally want to thank the Doug Kline, Rusty Burge, Chuck Hall, Kent Bohart, Kevin Atkins, Jason Kurtz, Dick Embrey, Hershel Ferguson, Bob Ottman, and Roger Faber for serving as Board Members, Nancy McCrory,Treasurer, and all the Club House staff for caring about the success of our Golf Course and its future. This benefit is sponsored by a host of local patrons and businesses, and without their financial support it could not happen. The tournament signup was full early last week and that shows how much everyone enjoys this day! Bright and early tomorrow the course will be full of fun, laughter, beer, food and good times! Lets hope for nice weather and again thanks to all the donors, volunteers, staff and golfers! Hopefully I can pictures tomorrow!
