If we are serious about "progress" then we have to move towards the discourse, thinking, and organizing of economic and political institutions that put people--human beings before country, as well as country before politics. Conservative and Liberal politics are both regressive in this sense. Progressive politics is a Revolutionary Humanist politics, in which democracy is living collective project rooted in the needs and aspirations of the oppressed in each relation of exploitation. #progress #democracy
