The disastrous deal with Iran is effectively done. That may not officially be acknowledged at the moment, amidst talk of gaps still to be closed and the prospect that a further extension may be needed to complete the negotiations. The reality, nonetheless, is that Iran has already gotten from President Obama what it wants. That is: First, legitimation of its nuclear program – including facilities and activities unmistakably tied to Tehran’s decades-long pursuit of The Bomb.
