The easiest way to avoid GMOs is to cook your own meals from scratch using actual food for ingredients instead of soy extracts, corn syrup or other weirdness. This has the additional advantage of being considerably cheaper as well as healthier. Learn to use a pressure cooker and cook foods such as beans, rice, potatoes, quinoa or sweet potatoes in 1/3 the time, using 1/3 the energy. Cook more than you need of these for one meal and have them in the refrigerator for making a quick lunch or a subsequent dinner. Use a slow cooker or crock pot and have real food ready for you when you get home. You can grind rice or other grains in a coffee grinder for making porridge much cheaper and better than store bought from a box. Meat and dairy are more problematic, but you can consider buying a side of quarter of beef in the fall from a farmer, or shares in a milk cow, which is done a good bit around here. Getting to know your local farmers in one to one economic relationship can be a rewarding experience all around.
