The end has come and Everest base camp is still on my bucket list but my life was more important . Unfortunately it was within reach but health and body could not go on . I had the best birthday ever and have myself HAPE, which is short for high altitude pulmonary edeoma- scary as at the time I thought that might be it. Everyone involved in my rescue are amazing. I was lucky there were two doctors staying at the same lodge who had emergency medication and oxygen. I got airlifted to hospital and been here for a week and still here. Hindsight- I lived and got to see some pretty stunning views from helicopter. Love life
