The esteemed feminist and public intellectual Phyllis Chesler passes along Yossi Klein Halevis opinion that Brandeis dishonoring of heroic human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali will prevent our descent into a holy war. One would think that a famous writer like Halevi would understand that the West is already in a holy war (jihad) with Islam, one which Islam initiated. Halevis statement is nothing less than a charge that Alis human rights campaign on behalf of Muslim women amounts to Islamophobic provocation against Muslims. Why do otherwise intelligent and perceptive people like Yossie Halevi have to embarrass themselves by resort to political correctness?
