The fact that anyone- even a guy like Richard Dawkins- can claim - TopicsExpress

The fact that anyone- even a guy like Richard Dawkins- can claim that Easter was just a corrupted pagan tradition (maybe he just means the name or modern pagan traditions associated with it) when the actual celebration of the resurrection is tied to the historical, annual event of Passover, just kinda boggles my mind. The best case you could make, I suppose (which even then doesnt seem factually supported), is that the two happened to overlap closely on the calendar and elements of the pagan celebration have bled over into the actual celebration... but so what? If I start National Ketchup Day on Dawkins birthday and it catches on, does that mean that Dawkins was never born? Or that other people celebrated something on the same day or time of year that the historical event of his birth happened to take place?
