The first treaty between Wazhazhe and the colonial government of the U.S. was created in 1808. The rest of the treaties were authored based on the supposed legitimacy of this treaty. However, if this treaty were violated (i.e. by the U.S. through various actions that are contrary to what was stipulated in the treaty), would all subsequent treaties have been null and void, even the 1808 treaty? So if this is the case, is the current system we operate under, illegitimate and essentially illegal, in terms of Western/European/American law?
